1938 Stock - Queens Park Depot.4 views1938 stock driving trailer 11204 comes out of Queens Park Depot to form a Bakerloo Line service to the Elephant & Castle, on the 21st October 1979. The Bakerloo line was the last London Underground line to be operated solely with 1938 stock.

Ex Metropolitan Railway No.12-'Sarah Siddons' at Old Oak Common.3 viewsThe much cherished ex Metropolitan Railway electric locomotive, No.12 -'Sarah Siddons' was on display at the Old Oak Common Depot open day on August 5th 2000. Built by Metropolitan Vickers in 1922, the loco was one of a class of 20 built for use between Baker Street and Rickmansworth. They were withdrawn when the live rail was extended to Amersham in 1961 and the introduction of the then new Cravens built A Stock. No.12 survived in working order for use as a test locomotive for the CM&EE department.

A60 5119 at Chesham.1 viewsA wintry scene at Chesham on January 15th 1984. A 4-Car A60 set in original condition has just arrived at the branch terminus following a 3.89 mile run from the bay platform at Chalfont & Latimer on the Metropolitan Main line from Baker Street to Amersham. The nearest car is DM 5119. The station still retained its platform canopy, water tower and disused bay platform.

CO/CP Stock Birds Scrapyard, Long Marston.1 viewsWithdrawn ex-District Line CO/CP Stock was awaiting the call in Birds Scrapyard at Long Marston on October 12th 1981. The car numbers were 53048, 53020, 54348 & 013184. Just visible on the right are two stacked BR Mark I CK coaches, E15838 & 15844. Today scenes like this would not be possible in the obsessive health & safety culture that now prevails.

C77 Stock DM 5712 at Edgware Road.4 viewsAs the run-down of the C Stock fleet is now well underway, a look back to Sunday 21st October 1979, when the C77 stock was almost new. 5712 in original aluminium finish was trailing at the rear of an eastbound working from Hammersmith at Edgware Road. Out of the original 66 C77 cars built by Metro-Cammell, only 30 remain in service at the start of 2014.
