043 on the Ryde Pier Shuttle.skoðað 2 sinnumWhen the Ryde Pier Tramway closed in 1969, the former Down line between the Pier Head and Esplanade Stations became self-contained, so that a unit could be 'locked in' to provide a pier shuttle service. In July 1978, set 043 rumbles along with the Pier shuttle, lead by car S19. S19 had been built in 1928 by the Union Construction & Finance Company. When these cars were sent to the Isle of Wight in 1966 they were the first complete EMU sets to carry the new corporate Rail Blue Livery.
National Power 59205 at Burton Salmon.skoðað 1 sinnumWith locomotive and hoppers in matching National Power livery, Class 59 59205 -'Vale of Evesham' passes Burton Salmon with an empty coal working on the 28th August 1996.
GBRf 66716 at Melton Ross.skoðað 0 sinnumGBRf Class 66, 66716-'Locomotive & Carriage Institution Centenary 1911-2011', has just passed under the A19 at Melton Ross on May 26th 2012. The loco has charge of a rake of empty coal hoppers destined for filling at Immingham Docks.
First North Western 142001 at Squires Gate.skoðað 0 sinnumA routine sight at the time, some would say not worth recording, but nearly everything in this view at Squires Gate on May 27th 2004 has changed.
In First North Western livery, pioneer Class 142 142001 stands with the 07.27 Blackpool South to Colne service. Behind the unit is the huge Pontins Holiday Centre, first opened in 1961 and closed in October 2009. Following a sojourn in the West Country working for First Great Western, 142001 is now back on familiar territory in Northern livery.

FCC 319008 at Kentish Town.skoðað 0 sinnumIn Southern livery, but branded First Capital Connect, 319008 -'Cheriton' calls at Kentish Town with the 13.08 Sutton to St Albans City on June 7th 2014. 319008 along with sister unit 319009 operated a special train through the Channel Tunnel to Calais-Frethun in December 1993. The same units also held the speed record from London-Brighton from 1994 to 2005.

EPS 37601 - Folkestone Harbour.skoðað 0 sinnumAs the tide begins to come in, 37601 sits on the viaduct at Folkestone Harbour with the Pathfinder Tours 'Atomic Harbourmaster' railtour on October 20th 2007. Out of sight at the other end of the train was fellow EPS class 37, 37603. This was one of the last diesel hauled trains to traverse this line. The itinerary on that day included a trip along the Dungeness Branch. It was a long day - an 06.15 start from Crewe on Saturday morning and only getting back to Crewe at 01.24 on Sunday morning!10. des, 2015

This was a time-honoured Summer service that ran out and back on a Saturday running via East Lancashire and Copy Pit.

This was a time-honoured scene at all major stations - now sadly consigned to history. The 08 was new from Darington Works in October 1962 numbered D4184, its first home was at Ebbw Junction (86A) and it was tranferred to Laira (84A) in May 1971.07. nóv, 2015
