Class 76, 76001 at Reddish Depot.
Withdrawn pioneer Class 76, 76001 keeps company with other redundant Tommies and some interesting rolling stock at Reddish Depot on July 12th 1981. The cable drum carrier in the foreground, (Ex Lowmac Wagon) ADB904685 had been part of the Guide Bridge based electrification maintenance train, but with closure of the Woodhead route a week away, the need for the various specialist wagons had passed and like the class 76s would eventually end up being scrapped.
