Class 20s, 20175 & 20010 at Southport.
A colourful scene at Southport on September 17th 1989 as Railfreight livered 20175 & 20010 shunt the stock of a steam-hauled excursion after arrival from Manchester Victoria behind Jubilee 4-6-0, 45596 -'Bahamas'. This was one of several runs that day organised by the local Southport newspaper. Much has changed in the intervening years, the class 20s are gone, the old excursion platforms with their toilet blocks have been swept away and a retail park now covers much of the railway land here.
