303075 & 87008 at Glasgow Central.
In a familiar daily scene that went on for years and is now unlikely ever to be repeated, Strathclyde PTE liveried Class 303, 303075 departs from Glasgow Central with a service to Newton on July 23rd 1984. Class 87, 87008 -'City of Liverpool' looks on as it awaits the start of its 401 mile journey to London Euston. 87008 found a new life in Bulgaria after being cast aside by Virgin in 2004. Out of the 91 3-Car units built locally by Pressed Steel at Linwood between 1959 & 1961, only one unit has survived.
