Class 442 Wessex 2421 at Southampton.
Wessex Class 442, 2421 glides away from Southampton Central with a London Waterloo to Weymouth service on October 30th 2004. Introduced in 1988/89, the stylish units were powered by the electrical equipment salvaged from the 4-Reps that worked on the Bournemouth line from 1967. The 442s were all withdrawn from service with South West Trains in February 2007, being replaced with Siemens built Class 444s.
