47662 approaches Starcross.
A tight squeeze on the A379, as Class 47 47662 heads Northbound approaching Starcross with the 15.44 Plymouth to Sheffield service on the 31st May 1988. The Class 47 entered traffic in 1964 numbered D1611 and was renumbered 47032 in 1973. Fitted with ETH in 1986, the loco was then renumbered 47662 and at the time of this picture was allocated to Bristol Bath Road. In 1987 it became 47817 and was selected for conversion to a Class 57/3 in 2003, subsequently gaining Virgin Livery as 57311-'Parker'.
