Class 14, D9539 at the Ribble Steam Railway.
Newly overhauled and repainted, Class 14 D9539 stands in the evening sunshine outside the running shed on the Ribble Steam Railway at Preston Docks on October 5th 2013. A product of Swindon Works in April 1965 the loco was in BR service for just short of three years, being withdrawn on the first day of April 1968. From 1968 to 1983 the loco was employed by British Steel at Corby. It went into preservation on the then embryonic Gloucester & Warwickshire Railway at Toddington.
